Seabrook recognised for Excellence in Aged Care

Posted by McKenzie | 27 Mar 2019

Seabrook Aged Care was recently presented with an Aged Care Excellence Award by local member for Petrie, Luke Howarth.

Mr. Howarth established these awards to celebrate and bring to light those Aged Care providers in the Petrie electorate that have dedicated staff members showing their residents outstanding care and respect.

Luke is a huge advocate for Aged Care and services in the area and is passionate about taking care of the most vulnerable in the community.

The nomination form for this award was distributed to 30,000 homes in the electorate and out of 37 returned nominations, several

providers were chosen to receive an award recognising their dedication to elders.

Seabrook Aged Care received the award based on a nomination by current resident, Joan.

“They often (all staff) go beyond the call of duty and frequently run over time, rather than leave a job undone” Joan said.

At McKenzie Aged Care, we pride ourselves on the outstanding care we give to our residents and it is such an honour to receive recognition from one of our own residents.

There was a wonderful celebration, with Seabrook Chef preparing a spread of delicious canapes. Enjoying the celebration were many staff, residents and family members to share this moment with residents and the team.

A huge congratulations to all the team at Seabrook and a very special thank you to Joan for the nomination.
